Making use of existing bandwidth and transportation-channels is the way
to go. I was talking about the possibility of using DAB, but of course
today noone has a DAB-Reciever. What about ***WorldSpace***, the
satellite-radio-project based on the idea of bringing information and
education to the third world?
They will have 3 satellites up soon (AfriStar, AmeriStar, AsiaStar) and
they intend to give away transmission-capacity to non-commercial and
educational broadcasters. They are people to talk to when it comes to
relaying internet-broadcasts to a wider audience.
regards
Frank
PS: Concerning the papers and ideas I posted here earlier (on the
DAB-Commandments and on Public Backbones) I am still waiting for a
discussion to start. What do you think about these?
