The second stage of Australia's first and only national online directory for digital screen art will be launched in Adelaide. screenarts, has been developed by the Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) in association with the Media Resource Centre and dLux media arts, with the support of the Australian Film Commision.
screenarts provides a central point of access to the outstanding digital art which Australians are producing online. This second stage of screenarts will also include links to conferences and fora in Australia, dealing with online screen based art, thus critically and culturally contextualising this fast expanding area of art practice in Australia.

ANAT have pioneered a unique new 'virtual residency' project, deep immersion: creative collaborations. This series of online residencies, has forged links between Australian artists and a diverse range of net smart cultural sites. At this event Adelaide based artist elendil will present Glyph, an iconographic vocabulary, developed with support from Sydney based art server, SystemX, and Vienna based farmersmanual.
Artist Keith Netto will present his audio environment sonicform, developed while in residence with <EMG>. Also featured will be audio art from, please press play, a project by Brisbane based low key operations + nude productions, developed whilst the artists were in residence with US based server AltX. TeriAnn White's residency with UK online writing community, trAce, will also be available for viewing.
