we have the same version on linux slackware on a 486 and it works fine

the only thing it doesnt do automatically, is to save a copy onto the
server.
earlier versions did it. you have to make a target file-more info is under
http://service.real.com/help/faq/serv5le.html#archive
you need to make a pnm file anyway. the encoder can be on another machine,
it just has to take the path to the pnm file on the server.
the file itself is a ram file .
