lots of people were present, much soda water was drunk. philosophy biscuits
were eaten: here are the notes which signify a rough agenda for the next
few months.

___________projects:

1. persuade real audio people and get a free full real audio server to
allow more channels and split streams etc by the xchange group.

2. set up more real audio servers for use by everybody. in particular it
would be good if these had stable addresses. find some secret place to list
these addresses.

3. a web based interface/timetable that would show who is broadcasting what
and on which channel:to be based on the re-lab web pages. 

4. set up interfund with the $1000 left over from the ars electronica prix:
which could either be a lobbying group or a funding project.

5.  global pirate radio network project. to set up many mini-fm
transmittors around the world which broadcast net.radio over fm. this may
include a group scheduler which would allow people to broadcast the same
content automatically, and could be switched off to allow local content to
be broadcast when needed.

6. food to be provided in the contract at any of the next xchange group
meetings outside of latvia.

7. ars electronica cd, to be produced by ars and xchange. at this time, we
all need to listen to the archives and choose what bits we like: also
decide whether it should be a cd-rom or audio cd. audio cd will have a much
faster turnaround time, but artist's biographies/links to the web would
then have to be on paper.

8. research possible licences for terrestrial radio.

9. research streaming mpeg.
