what an offensive idea about *doing* something. is thinking not doing? what
do you think means 'action'? i find it really depressing to be labelled as
an inefficient, inactive, nowhere-going subject as long as one *thinks*.

i agree, there is a need for practical suggestions - but there is no need
for blind pragmatism with a kind of throw-the-brick-through-the-window
undertone. i wouldn't even know where to aim - or why... what are the ends
to the means?

>the idea is rather simple (although multifaceted)...if everyone is casting

is that all there is to it? well, if that's the case, why don't we just all
collaborate and put everything into one big high-tech / high-bandwidth
streaming pot and let it rip and loop and feedback - hurra! and heureka!
fun, fun, fun! a happier place, wrap up the mailinglists. theory: drown in
the pleasure of our administrative venture of what once was called
net.radio - but is now known as the "collective noise of the happier place".

and i don't think anything would be more interesting just because of a
technically different shape to it. i don't think quadrophonic audio
streaming would help anybody (but a few) and i don't think a quoter of
forced three-hours-a-day content production would help to make things more
interesting.

so here i rant back:

this is starting to get sickening!
