That may be the case where you are but I've just spent 6 months in
residency at the ABC here in Sydney and they are totally PC with
Fairlight and Session 8 and a few old Revox reel to reels thrown in for
good measure. The only small Mac they have is for email and browsing and
whatever. It's really sad and it made my job a whole lot harder cause I
couldn't transfer files. We had to completely re record thirty minutes
of ProTools onto the Fairlight through an SSL. Which was nice in the end
cause I had a good operator, but what a possible drama just for thirty
minutes .........
