contour.net
Leipzig, Germany contour.net was a non-commercial net platform for digital music, net audio, video netcasts and net art focusing its work on contemporary electronic cultures. Behind the Leipzig-based project there was a crew of young media artists, DJs, musicians, and programmers, who produced 6-8 hours of content every week. At the beginning the project was using the orang.orang.org (which was hacked and deleted in 2002) engine for streaming and archiving. During the period of activity since 1996, a wide spectrum survey of music and art has been created. People involved in the project were Tamas Szakal and Francis Hunger. http://contour.net |
