<I>Tailler, monter, mixer, fixer, spacialiser... Le son a la puissance du cinéma, il n'en a pas la lourdeur.<BR>
</I><BR>
Parmi les rendez-vous de la création en France, le concours Phonurgia Nova occupe depuis 1986 une place à part en mettant à lâ??honneur les artistes qui explorent <B>le son comme média du réel et de l'imaginaire.</B> En 2003, 150 productions venant de 19 pays ont été reçues. <BR>
<BR>
Pour cette nouvelle édition, le jury distinguera des auteurs manifestant un sens aigu du son et de l'écoute comme moyens d'expression, dans deux domaines :<BR>
<BR>
A) « Arts de la radio » considèrera toute forme créative : documentaire, fiction, essais, entretien, mix, hörspiel, radio expérimentale, etc...<BR>
B) « Nouveaux médias » récompensera des « installations » ou bien des créations basées sur les nouveaux supports, téléphone portable, audioblog, podcast, site audioweb, etc, <BR>
<BR>
Dans chacune des deux catégories, le jury considèrera deux types de propositions :<BR>
1) des productions finalisées <BR>
2) des projets<BR>
<BR>
Les Prix <BR>
Un Prix Arts de la radio et un Prix Nouveaux médias <B>dotés chacun de 1 500 â?¬</B>, + <B>3 Résidences de création</B> au GRM de l'INA, à l'IMEB et au GMVL. <B>10 propositions</B>, ainsi que les créations issues des Résidences, feront l'objet dâ??une présentation en Arles en 2006 dans le cadre du 3ème Festival de l'Ecoute. Dâ??autres prix pourront alors sâ??ajouter. <BR>
<BR>
Archives<BR>
Toutes les Å?uvres sélectionnées sont conservées pour constituer une archive permanente d'art audio. Ces archives seront ouvertes au public pour une consultation.<BR>
<BR>
Calendrier <BR>
La date limite de réception est fixée au <B>1er septembre 2005</B>. La proclamation des résultats aura lieu le samedi 1er octobre à la Maison du Geste et de lâ??Image, à Paris 1er, à l'occasion de NUIT BLANCHE.<BR>

<I>Chisel, cut, mix, set in spaceâ?¦Sound has the power of the cinema and is lighter<BR>
<BR>
</I>Among the prizes awarded for acoustic creation, the &nbsp;Phonurgia &nbsp;Nova competition has, since 1986, occupied a special place by virtue of its recognition of artists whose work exploits <B>sound as a medium for expressing the real and the imaginary</B>. In 2003, 150 productions from 19 different countries were entered in the prize. <BR>
<BR>
This year's competition will distinguish authors whose work manifests <B>a keen sense of sound and listening as means of expression,</B> on two areas :<BR>
<BR>
A) <B>Radio Arts </B>will privilige all forms of inventive radiophonic creation: documentary, <BR>
fiction, essays, interviews, radio mix, Hörspiel, experimental forms etc.<BR>
B) <B>New Media</B> awards will go to sound installations or sonic works which have been specially created for &quot;new media&quot; to bring new experiences in sound art to listeners - mobile phone, audioblog, podcasting, web site.<BR>
<BR>
In each category the jury will deliberate on two types of work :<BR>
1)completed productions<BR>
2)projects<BR>
<BR>
Prizes<BR>
One Radio Arts prize and one New Media prize<B> &nbsp;each of 1 500 euros </B>and <B>3 artist's</B> <B>residencies</B> at &nbsp;GRM-INA (Paris), IMEB (Bourges) and GMVL (Lyon), 3 major studios for electronic music and sound art internationaly known. <B>Ten works</B> will be selected for presentation at the <B>third Festival de l'Ecoute</B>, Arles, 2006. Additional prizes could be given at this time. Certain works will be broadcast by the organisations and radio stations associated with the Festival.<BR>
<BR>
Deadlines<BR>
The closing date for registration of entries: <B>September 1, 2005</B>. Results will be announced on Saturday, October 1, 2005, in Paris at la Maison du Geste et de l'Image. <BR>
<BR>
Sound archives<BR>
All the materials received will constitue a permanent archive of audio works. This archive will be opened to the public.<BR>
