Radio Student is one of the oldest and biggest European non-commercial radio 
stations broadcasting a student not-for-profit radio programme. Apart from 
creating and broadcasting educational, artistic, information and musical 
programmes, Radio Student lays great stress on its educational role. In this 
respect, Radio Student educates and teaches young people for their work on the 
programme, for their work as journalists or for other jobs,  functions and 
activities in a modern radio station.

In RADIO STUDENT there are two full-time employees working in management and 
technical maintenance. At the same time, RADIO STUDENT has over 150 regular 
contributors: journalists, art & music critics, DJs, independent contributors, 
announcers, technicians. The majority are students, some are renowned 
intellectuals, journalists, artists and university lecturers. 

THE AREA COVERED AND ESTIMATED AUDIENCE SIZE
The FM signal from our transmitter covers around 870 Km2. The population size 
of the area is around 500.000 (which is a quarter of the whole population of 
Slovenia). According to the latest surveys, we have approx. 23.000 regular 
listeners and 78.000 - 119.000 occasional listeners.
