Hey Stream Suckers
London has a vibrant film and video screening club scene, one revitalised
early through the nineties by groups like the Exploding Cinema (not to be
confused with the Rotterdam Film Festival) and more recently Omsk,
Halloween Film Society and many others.
After a couple of years pressure from me, growing public interest and a
succesfull if not short test stream last week from SOUTHSPACE we are
pleased to announce to you all that VACUUM, open access video net
screenings begins this week on Tuesday evening 1/2/2000 - 19.00 to 22.00
and weekly at this time untill further notice.
Its weekly content will be drawn from the overflowing mailboxes of the
screening groups and will be pulled together each week by these screening
groups. VACUUM is a project with a bit of history, in 1996 the first of a
set of compilations of work from the film and video undergroud was
produced. Only a few of issue #1 remain and it is our intention to issue #2
in Febuary, a pick of a months net screenings. So if you want to get your
home flick or scary cini on the schedule and ready for the next compilation
release, you had better mail your VHS to us and pronto.
have a look at vacuum #1 - http://bak.spc.org/vacuum/1
and tune in later on tonight... http://rad.spc.org/vacuum.ram
thanks
