we're planning LA RADIO NELLA RETE a net.radio broadcast/performance
open to the participation of everybody and scheduled on
september 18, 2000, 21.00 - 01.00 CET in the frame of the Prix Italia.
Anyone interested would be welcome to join us in an online chat and an audio/video 
broadcast during the two days.
We would like to invite you to contribute to this event having different
audio and video streams to be mixed and used for live events in Bologna and in all 
the places which are connected and interested.
The event will be broadcasted live by the RAI, the Italian Public Radio in the
cultural channel RadioTre.

*La radio nella rete* is part AFTERADIO is a 2 days activity focussed on radio and 
net in the frame of 51 edition of the Prix Italia.

The Prix Italia is the oldest international radio and
television competition. It awards prizes for quality productions in the
fields of fiction (single plays and serials), documentaries (culture and
current affairs), the "performing arts" (television) and music (radio).
In 2000 - after two experimental editions in 1998 and 1999 - a permanent
section dedicated to web/multimedia (portals, sites and enhanced-tv
produced by broadcasters) has been added.

AFTERADIO is conceived by SPM, a division of the Italian public radio (RAI) in
charge of developing new multimedia products to strategically integrate
with already existing programmes and projects. SPM  is a creative factory
made out of graphics, media artists, curators, programming experts, researchers, audio technicians, dreamers and other professional figures of the new generation. With Afteradio SPM wishes to start a series of on-site/on-line/on-air activities based on the development of creative and technical strategies in the relationship 
between the net and the radio.

The Bologna space  (you can see how it looks in the website) will be
fully equipped with sound, video, PC's and a permanent
connection to the net. Sound and video artists will create a permanent
environment mixing all kind of materials both from the net and the place
here. All direct links with participants will be organised in AFTERADIO
homepage http://www.radio.rai.it/afteradio  Images from webcameras will be
also mixed and screened in Bologna in order to have a dynamic visual
environment created after all the places connected.
A chat will stay open for both days.

Everyone's welcome to all the events! We will mix continuosly from the net and
re-webcast. Webcasting will happen non-stop through the 2 days.
We're working on the time-schedule right now. Your feedback would be very
useful and any proposal is warmly welcomed!
