Press Release
THE DANIEL LANGLOIS FOUNDATION
ANNOUNCES ITS THIRD CALL FOR PROJECTS
Montreal, October 24th, 2000 ? Established in the spring of 1997 through an
endowment provided by Daniel Langlois, The Daniel Langlois Foundation for
Art, Science, and Technology is a private philanthropic organization whose
scope of activity is international. The Foundation?s mission is to promote
contemporary artistic practices that use digital technologies to express
aesthetic and critical forms of discourse; to encourage interdisciplinary
research and, in general, to sustain the development of projects calling
for co-operation between people from a variety of fields, such as artists,
scientists, and technologists or engineers. To achieve its objectives, the
Foundation has set up five programs: the Residency and Commissioning of
Works of Art Program; the Exhibition, Distribution and Performance Program;
the Program for Organizations from Emerging Countries; the Conservation and
Preservation of Media Works Program; and the Research Grant Program for
Individual Artists or Scientists.

31st, 2001. All artists and organizations interested in submitting a
proposal in the context of this call should consult the Program Guide that
