Announcing the first issue of AUDIO CHANNEL
http://www.channel.org.uk/audio
AUDIO CHANNEL explores various strands of web-based audio production. This
includes: making available archival material of innovative audio work from
a range of sources, in particular experimental and improvised music;
critical discourses and unconventional histories discussing different
musical forms; presentations of projects that investigate experimental
possibilties of web-based audio technologies.
This first release of AUDIO CHANNEL presents material from the Resonance
107.3 FM radio project organised by the London Musicians Collective in June
1998; an experimental Quicktime 3 mixing interface; texts on the
psycho-social implications of punk rock and the connections between dance
music and space exploration; and a piece of experimental dance music by the
Society of Unknowns.
AUDIO CHANNEL requires the Quicktime 3 plug-in.
