>In November 1998, Radio Netherlands starts a new section on community
radio on its website. This section, which is part of the larger Real Radio
section (which deals with all aspects of broadcasting), is dedicated to
small-scale and community-oriented radio. It will include fact-sheets,
stories and interviews about several free radio stations, pirate stations,
local radios, community radios, campus radios, experimental netcasters
etc., all over the world. The section also contains links to dedicated
websites of radio stations and organisations. The first story published is
an interview with Zane Ibrahim, Managing Director of Bush Radio in
Capetown, South Africa.
