hello to everybody,

few consideration about the meeting.

(x) we can't physically attend to net.radio days because financial reasons
but we intend to contribute through ways to be decided together. we're sure
that the meeting is going to be exciting and it's a pity for us not be able
to share this berlin time with you, anyway.

(x) ideas :

- we can prepare a special *net.radio days* page with audio files to be
used by participants for live events

- we can jam with you ( but note please that we don't have here at the
moment a realaudio live server. we have to find out strategies to
contribute live with other systems. including the classical telephone
plugged to our mixing board )

(x) our atlas web site [ http://atlas.aec.at ] can also be used for events.
it contains a sound area with files in various formats. you can check under
*playground* and *sounds* from the homepage

<x) we invite you to have a look to the *lada98 l'arte dell'ascolto* (the
art of listening) project [ http://giardini.sm/lada98 ] the annual media +
radio festival organised in collaboration with orf kunstradio and rai
audiobox since 1991. lada98 will be presented in rimini, italy, and on
radio and net waves next november 5-8, 1998. as you can see, the project is
still rough and open to proposals/contributions/suggestions from you.
is our intention to build up a 72 hours non-stop on-air, on-line, on-site
event.
to do so we really need your collaboration in order to establish this 3
days/3 nights active network.

the project is focused on mediterranean area. as you know there's an
enormous quantity of activities in the south which are totally non
represented in the international scene. especially the media one. we always
work to establish possibilities of presentation for those experiences
normally very interesting also because their different backgrounds compare
to northern ones (europe & america).
the textual red line for the entire project are texts by writer predrag
matvejevic' which will be present in rimini in november. matvejevic' texts
are translated into several languages. it shouldn't be difficult to find
out.

it wouldn't be bad in our opinion if a *southern topic* can be part of the
discussion in berlin. we're at your disposition for any
information/contribution.

(x) in the frame of the multimedia laboratory of the siena university,
we're developing the *itaca* project. it will be - hopefully in few months
- a sound activity running parallel on: a. fm station, b. net webcasting,
c. satellite uplink. when the infrastructure will be ready, it will be
obviously available for all of us for social and artistic purposes.

that's it for the moment. waiting for your feedback.
un cordiale saluto a tutti e buon lavoro,
ciao

- roberto paci dalo'
