Liquid Audio has announced an agreement with RealNetworks,
to support RealNetworks new G2 codec. This agreement unifies 
the efforts of both Liquid Audio and RealNetworks to enable 
the enhanced preview and secure purchase of music over the 
Internet, bringing the benefits of the Liquid Music System to 
the millions of RealNetworks RealPlayer users. 

As part of the agreement, Liquid Audio will make a new Liquid 
Music Player media datatype available for RealNetworks' 
upcoming RealPlayer G2. A media datatype is an easy-to-install 
plug-in extension that adds functionality to RealPlayer G2. The 
integration of the Liquid Music Player media datatype will extend 
and increase the functionality of the popular and widely 
distributed RealPlayer to allow users to preview Liquid Audio 
encoded music online and click on a "buy" button to initiate a 
purchase.

This provides a seamless pathway for any RealPlayer G2 user 
into the world of online music commerce enabled by Liquid Audio's 
industry-leading music preview and purchase solution.
