well, this are some first reflections about the open-channel-broadcast of
yesterday night...

there are many things in parallel intersting.
as rasa already wrote, yesterday it was mainly about structures or not
existant structures and strategies how to find a structure to 'play' together.
i liked it, i was picking up the stream from riga, doing a mix with it and
sending it again. so did nearly everybody, finally it became a closed circuit.
and this is one of the keywords already, one thing we should think about:
why and for whom we do those broadcasts?
well, first of all of course for us. to speak for myself again, i enjoyed
this playing with the sounds and sometimes was completely satisfied what
came out of my private mix ( which nobody except of the station that picked
me up, in this case ljubljana or frankfurt ) was listening to.
but in the same time we are transmitting on air. we have a public platform,
and there are many ways how to use this.
one is the experiment, as we did, and it may be interesting also for not
involved listeners, if they have at least the possibility to understand
what is going on.... i don't know if you in riga did comments on it on air,
i think such experiments need a kind of moderation - translation for the
people 'outside', then they themselfes can transport a certain content
already. this would be for example to talk about not only HOW we do it but
WHY.
i suppose that everybody who participates in open channel, has certain
reasons, ideas, visions... we should think about how to make them
commmunicable and transparent.

one strategy may be a kind of raw scedule, blocks with different forms and
topics.
we could do co-broadcasts between two or three stations, who prepare some
stuff ( content again, of course, not preproduced ;)
we can offer different forms of broadcast, for example discussions, or
reflections about what is going on actually in the different
countries/towns - personal, local, regional, national, international ( by
the way, i enjoy ppp-news :)
we are transmitting in riga. what could be interesting for listeners in riga ?
we are transmitting via net worldwide - what could be interesting for
people in canada, france, china, whereever ? (til now not many people are
joining via net to listen - why ?
what do i / you / she / he have to tell other people over there ?

so my proposal is to think about what to transmit and to test different
forms of smaller and larger groups broadcasting at the same time. and of
course to go on with netnoisechaosalltogetherexperiments :), but not the
whole time of broadcast, maybe first a kind of main content area and then
open experiments.

so let's synchronize and agree on topics in smaller combinations during the
week and prepare a bit of stuff til next tuesday to really use and expand
the possibilities the medium offers !

and - just not to stay in nice theoretical phrases again, i would like to
ask borut and rasa if you want to prepeare something together with me
around the topic of 'virtual' and 'real' space ? - uh, i know, large and
undefined, infinite ( does this exist ;) ? ) theme, we would have to make
it more concrete, just to have a starting point...

well, the job is waiting...
( sorry for bad english, i'm working on it )

feedback please :)
