announced the New Budget for the People of New Britain.
Declared as 'The New Deal' it is a budget that concentrates on work.
Incentives to get work, to stay in work, and penalties for
ceasing to work. A New Workforce for the New Millenium is being shaped
Manufacturing, engineering, steel and chemical industries are all ignored
in favour of New high-tech and scientific industries.
PPP's sister, who is an unemployed single mother will get £2.50 a week
extra in
new social security benefits.
PPP, as a non tax-paying, net-surfing  propagandist will get nothing.
But we are both elligible to join a government IT training scheme to learn
MSWord for Windows.

Bill Clinton continues his propaganda campaign to become
the worlds most sexualised political leader.
In the next round of Presidential elections it will become a voting
requirement of future Presidential candidates to have a high sex appeal
rating and to reveal the intimate details of their sexual techniques. On
this basis, PPP predicts that whoever won  Mr Net Art 1998 is in with a
chance of becoming President Of The United States Of America.

 Amazon rainforests are still burning furiously even though most of us are
too busy producing  critical, hard-edge  news to  notice.

Starting fires is a method used by indiginous farmers to clear the land for
new crops but since the rainforests have been degraded so much over the
years
it cannot contain the fire and it is out of control.

As governments and the World Bank fail to implement subsidies for farmers
to help them earn a living they continue to clear land using fire and there
is no sign of the usual rainfall to dampen things down.

PPP spoke to a member of the threatened Yanomami Indians whose jungle
reservation is devastated and asks what they will do in the face of
extinction.
"Snort hallucinogenic bark from the virola tree and enter a holy trance,"
he says.
PPP suggested that they build an Internet cafe in the forest, organise a
globally networked political campaign demanding protection  and do some
commercial web-page designing on the side.

and its the the gods of the free market that are being appealed to.

PPP would like to offer Yeltsin the Backspace model of running things
Here is how it would work -
a 20 pound a month membership fee for all those wanting to
live in russia and use the facilities. The fee will be reduced for members
who wish to work as volunteers. Responibility is shared, but one person has
the headache of paying the rent.
Alternatively, Backspace could take up Yeltsins model
and sacrifice themselves to the almighty sponsorship God, like the ICA
