aiming to open an electronic portal into the eccentricities of antipodean
radio space.

Emerging from a desire to evolve virtual zone for sonic exploration,  r   a
d   i   o   q   u   a   l   i   a  creates the latitude for musicians and
artists to explore the superficial distance between understandings.  With a
permanent investigation into the relative tones of red and blue shifts
evident in physical and cosmic space, r   a   d   i   o   q   u   a   l   i
a  muses on the ambience and deformities of sound construction.

Presently a dual stream of ebbs and skews, and a series of regular live
netcasts,  r   a   d   i   o   q   u   a   l   i   a  will evolve into a
continually shifting event zone featuring live simulcasts of sound events
occurring in February and March.   Special emphases on feature artists will
provide the world with an aural jumpstation to experiments in sound
manipulation.

The crunchy beats and sonic distortions of Australia's Zonar Recordings
will help launch the second of r   a   d   i   o   q   u   a   l   i   a 's
regular netcasts, streaming daisies.  In Adelaide for a series of
electrosonic explorations into the nether-regions of digital rhythm , Zonar
Recordings will be celebrating their own launch - the Dis_Locations double
CD which examines the remix concept.

Dreaming Daisies is a radio show broadcasting the diversity of Adelaide's
DJs and encompasses most electronica and obscuria.  For over eight years
Dreaming Daisies has disseminated information, beats and technosonic waves
to Adelaide's vibrant electronic music community.  The course of enriching
and promoting this community has lead Georgie Knight along a convoluted but
inevitable path to real audio radio, with streaming daisies her first foray
into netcasting.   The winner of both the 1995 and 1996 South Australian
Dance Music Industry Awards, Dreaming Daisies features  live mixing,
interviews, new tracks, news and views.

for a satisfying bang.

Zina K is a new media artist and writer who uses communications
technologies, and in particular the internet,  to muse on the nature of
metaphysical boundaries and the secret life of the airwaves. arguing that
the internet is the new radio, she has begun to broadcast her own test
transmissions: using cold war surveillance tools to generate content.  she
also knows something about the Anti_Destination Society.
